Community Need
More art centered activities are needed within low-income communities, especially within the schools. These activities teach students valuable employment and interpersonal skills. Students of low-income families sometimes do not have the opportunity to participate because of the availability of these programs within their community. That is why F.A.C.E.S. is focusing our efforts to bring these activities to these low-income communities.
Community BenefitsDuring these classes, the students will learn valuable job skills such as time management, organizational skills, professional presentation, and appropriate communication with both teachers and peers. The students will incorporate these skills into the production of a public performance showcasing their talents.
Our artists will teach multi-cultural folk dances within various low-income community schools including Glendale Middle School, Northwest Middle School, Mountain View Elementary, Parkview Elementary, and Newman Elementary school just to name a few. These classes will start in February and end in April.
