Grafitti Art in the Skate Park Community Need

Youth in our community do not have enough alternative outlets to relieve stress in day to day life. This is an experimental alternative idea of how I believe may influence, inspire, empower, and motivate youth.

Community Benefits

The goal of the project is to help give a positive outlet for youth in a place made for youth and a place safe for youth; for them to epxress themselves in a safe alternative way that is non-destructive to our community. This project gives a light hope to bring togehter the communities of all different minorities to make all of them feel a part of this art for the skate park community outreach project. As a result of bringing the community together, it is in hopes that our program will help eliminate or reduce to counts of graffiti in local areas.

Another project goal is to have youth of different gangs participate in this project so all of them can have a piece of their message on the park grounds to help encourage neutral ground beteween gangs, to help put a stop to the gang war. As a result of putting up neutral ground, we will help eliminate the tagging gangs do to claim their territory. No hidden gang symbols, no hidden gang slang. This is for the expression of ones self and for what you stand for. The goal of this is neutral ground for the whole community.
